Default T-bar steering wheel '02

What are your thoughts on the steering wheel shape on the '02? I had an '01 and liked the shape - I could rest my coffee cup on the bottom between the spokes - NOT on the '02! I have to rest it between the bottom spoke and the right spoke! Not very secure.

I would prefer the 3 spoke T bar design to the 4 spoke one if I had a choice.

I had a 4 spoke design on my 96 Integra which I hated, swapped it out for a JDM Type R one with SRS, after I did my Frontend conversion to match.

That JDM Factory Momo steering wheel stuck out closer to the driver and the ergonomics were much better besides I like the bigger spaces between spokes.

The 4 spoke one on my 00 platinum is fine, I guess the wood makes it feel and look much more luxurious. But that's just my opinion.

I don't see how resting a cup on a steering wheel is ever considered secure.

I've got the 4 spoke steering wheel in my Solara and 3 spoke in the Lexus. The 4 spoke is much more comfortable and gives me more options to rest my hands especially in stop and go traffic.

I just place the bottom of the mug on the bottom of the steering wheel - I hold the cup with my right hand!
