'95 ES 300 check engine light and codes
My check engine light is on and I knew about the codes before buying the car. I will list them below and would like to hear your experience on this.
P0130 "Heated oxygen sensor - bank 1 sensor 1 (HO2S11)
Circuit malfunction
Probable cause
Open or short circuit condition
Poor electrical connection
Faulty HO2S11 (Bank 1 Sensor 1)"
P0133 "Heated oxygen sensor - bank 1 sensor 1 (HO2S11)
circuit slow response
Probable cause
Air/Fuel ratio concern
Air leak near sensor
Open or short circuit condition
Faulty HO2S11 (Bank 1 Sensor 1)"
P0170 "Fuel trim bank one
Explanation
The powertrain control module uses the oxygen sensor to calculate the Air/Fuel ratio of the engine. The computer has recognized a rich or lean condition on one engine bank only.
Probable cause
If bank one and two codes set together suspect fuel pressure or MAF (mass Air Flow) sensor
Oxygen sensor defective
Ignition misfire-repair
Fuel injector problem"
P0773 "shift solenoid 'B' electrical malfunction SSV DSL
Probable cause - Open or short circuit condition
Failed SSV DSL" (this printout is faded, so please disregard any typos)

Bank 1 is the one closer to the firewall, sensor 1 is the one before the cat. The one you see when you open the hood, closest to the radiator, is bank 2, sensor 1. There is another one after the cat, that's Sensor 2.
