Okay guys. Sorry for spamming stuff but here is the last of it.

Before and after. Got it for free so no complaints here!

Also changed out my taillights, they look so much better.

Tinted my fog lights yellow just for fun. They look better when the lights aren't on LOL

How loud does the intake mod make the engine noise in the cabin? Is it noticeable?

It's not obnoxiously loud but it is noticeable. The day after installing it, my dad rode in my car and pointed out how loud it was, but maybe it's because I was kinda gassing up hills to hear how it sounds :P
I guess it all comes down to preference. I don't mind it and now I don't even notice it when I drive.

Where did you get the tail lights from as well as the turn signals from?

Ditto for me too, I guess I'm also getting old. There aren't many intakes that fit the 99-01 Dual Throttle bodies, so in a way that doesn't really bother me, just going to put in a high flow quality filter and call it a day.

I have the yellow film on my other car 2009 Honda fit, it gives it that JDM look and protects the lights from chips. I was thinking of doing that to the ES too but haven't decided yet.

I plan to keep mine stock looking I guess age has caught up with me. Maybe a trunk lip spoiler and oem+ rims with better tires. I might upgrade the brakes to a dual piston setup like my 99 camry with better rotors and pads.

OP you picking up some quality parts, good find on the tail lights and headlights. I've read that someone modded their 97-99 bumper to fit the 00-01 (kouki) foglights, but required some cutting to get it to fit right.

Did you check of your power mirrors work? oddly enough, another 2000 ES300 Platinum owner in Hawaii had the same exact problem with the mirror controller, I saw his post while I was fixing mine and once I solved it I mentioned my fix to him and he also got his working. I wonder if it was just a bad batch of chips and or boards. My replacement came from an 01 donor, just checked and my mirrors are still working perfectly.

I just did a transmission drain and fill 2 weeks ago, plan to do another one with a new gasket and filter and Amsoil ATF.

The first time I didn't have the right parts, I had the A541e filter and gasket which I thought was the same for the 99-01 U140e, so I just cleaned and refitted the pan, refilled with Vavoline Maxlife ATF.

I would recommend a transmission drain and fill, it does help make things all slightly more smooth and crisp between shifts.

I can't justify an intake or exhaust mods because toyota did such a good job tuning out resonances in the systems I would just feel wrong.

Looks bright! Do you get any bulb out messages on the dash?

I tried swapping to LEDs on my 99 Camry but I would get the bulb out message icon on my gauge. Didn't want to install resistors so I just ended up putting it back to stock.

So you're saying if I want to get either HID or projectors for my '02 I should try to find OEM somewhere, rather than a kit? What are the issues with the HID kits?

HID kits are notorious for glare, and usually people don't know how to properly aim their lights not to blind other drivers.

You know those guys that drive around like their high beams are on all the time?

The ideal method if your car didn't offer an HID option is to retrofit projector lenses, those give the cleanest light cutoff.

But if I were you, the 04+ ES330 had a factory option I would just go with that.

Mine is an '02 - how hard is it to swap out the halogen with projector - is it pretty simple?

I would think it's a one for one swap, however as we're finding out, at least in the case of the 3es, their are some clearance issues with the harness behind the radiator support.

I'm sure if you post on here there should be someone out there who's done the conversion that should be able to give you info on what's needed to be done.
