Default Any use a Motorcraft FL400S filter (will it fit)?

I was going to switch to the Motorcraft FL910S on the next oil change. I read the FL400S has identical specs, just more filter area. Does anyone use this filter and know if it will fit in the area under the manifold?

If it were any one but you, I'd think you were smoking something...

My biggest question is if it will screw on and if the diameter fit around the filter base.

I just installed the OEM Toyota V8 filter (YZZD3) which is taller than the stock YZZD1 on my last oil change.

I have pictures of the filter in my thread of you want to see the comparison.

I found your picture and that's illustrative of the size difference. Thanks. I'll pick up an FL-400s for now but maybe in the future get some of those.

The YZZD3 would do precisely what I'm trying to do (same flow specs, compatible gasket size, by-pass, etc. - just more media for less stress on longer drain intervals). The OE Densos are also well-built. I don't have a dealership convenient to my routine drives, but maybe I can get some online.

I know quite a few 2uz-fe V8 owners who use the Motorcraft FL-400S. The last time I looked up the cross-application, the general recommendation was the same small Wix filter as on our 1mz-fe's. I did not know the actual Toyota one was different. Good to know.

I got a 10 pack for less than 50 bucks shipped. I think this has to be the best deal on oem filters ever!

These are my new favorite filters.

I saw the same deal/price on Ebay last night when I was looking around. I'll stick in the FL-400s for this change and then order a stash like that. Thanks for the input!
