Default 1997 ES300 Aftermarket stereo installation - powers on, no sound

As noted in the subject. I decided to bypass the amp on the aftermarket stereo and use the stock amp.

Purchased this harness:
Best Kits BHA8112

This is my headunit:
Kenwood DPX 501BT (page 31 for installation/wiring guide)

Everything seemed to synch up ok. I used the blue/white wire for the HU harness, which should be the power control/antenna control wire to connect to the blue/wite for the harness, which is the amp remote wire. I think I got that right.
However, after I plugged everything in, I receive no sound from the stereo. It does power on.

Some other notes; for the harness, I used the RCA connections and just bundled up the the speaker wires. Since I get no sound, Im starting to wonder if I missed something.
Maybe I dont have a stock amp it was removed by the previous owner? Or maybe I am bypassing the HU amp incorrectly, or maybe I have the amp wiring incorrect?

Any ideas?

edit: I followed a build similar to this:

and

edit: I resolved the issue. I disconnected the brown wire (mute) and connected the power antenna to the blue/white of the HU, just in case. It works now.

Blue/white solder looks good.

I left the orange, orange/black, and blue wires coming from the wire harness unconnected. I think this could be the culprit.

My head unit harness does not have any of these wires though...

What were the wires assigned to?

Red -> Red
Yellow -> Yellow
Black -> Black
Blue/White -> Blue/White
Brown -> Brown

Unused Harness:
Orange, orange black, blue, speaker wires.

I think I know the issue. I may have bundled the amp ground (if there is one) with the speaker wires by confusing it with the left front speaker.

Where does amp ground go? The guide I attached could be wrong. Will confirm tomorrow..

I have 95 es, and there was a pink/blue wire in the factory wiring(not in the plug that goes to the new harness) for the factory amp. I found this reference and use it...
Hope it helps...

Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Gray
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Blue/Red
Car Radio Ground Wire: Brown
Car Radio Illumination Wire: Pink/Blue
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: Pink/Blue
Car Stereo Amplifier Location: Right of the glove box.
Note: White is the common ground for the signal going to the amplifier.

How did you wire the pink/blue without the harness? Also, I think the 95 was a slightly different wiring? not sure.

to follow up from above;
the bha8112 guide lists half of the wires that are actually on the harness itself. Odd. Here is how I wired it:

Black -> Black
Yellow -> Yellow
Red -> Red
Brown -> Brown
Blue/White -> Blue/White

Unused:
Blue (power antenna), Orange (dimmer), Orange/Black (dimmer ground). Those colors are unconfirmed though.

I wired the pink/blue wire to the blue/white amp wire on the aftermarket radio. I used the 4 rca jacks also. I read in a thread that the stock amp puts out good power with a aftermarket radio and my music sounds good. I have the stock speakers with 3 JL w3v3

JL drivers are awesome. I used to run a single 15" W6 back in the day, it needed a huge enclosure but it went so low, I should have kept it.

Default Ground loop Isolator Connector

Hi jaredmac11, did you use ground loop isolator connector to cancel AMP noise ?

Wait so are you using the stock amp to push the door speakers? I thought it was meant for the factory sub only

Did you do the big 3 or any electrical upgrades for that system?

I did, it seems to have worked well enough. The issue itself was due to connecting the brown wire. It was a mute wire which muted the whole system.

Its hard to say since I didnt hear a 'before' but I used the PAC SNI-1 isolators.
