HID H7 confusion
Howdy.. So, I've been running HIDs on my ES since I bought the car. Even b4 that, I knew It had the Same set up for a good 2years b4 I owned it... 3years LATER. One of the ballastics goes out. Which gave it a very good 5or so life span. They were running 10k. I not being aware of how the HID business has been doing since everyone and theyre momma seems to have em now, n if not. Are running the new LED set up... So I go and buy a new hid h7kit from some stupid small place. I can't Even remember where. But like 3months ago, 10k Also.. I wanted 8k But apparently Didn't have.. Anywho, he told me $30 fn Bux for both! I was like daaam either the price and the novelty of the HID lights have dropped substantially, or these are some cheap *** lights! Lol.. Come to find out, I guess theyre just cheap. Lol no name on them, looked like one was a 12k with a purple appearance and other was like a 10k that always flickered... Hated them.. But said what hell, just for now.whatever... Well now one has gone out again. So in search for another..but BETTER.
I'm searching on Amazon and MY QUESTION IS: (if story was to long).
I see some kits that say h7, that look just like my first ones, but then say. Not for you're 97 es300..... ?! Why? It IS a h7 set up... Will it really not work or do you think they are just saying that on the basis that the ES isn't "suppose" to be running hid set up?...
Bcuz if that's the case, I'd like to get them anyways.
Orr, if anyone knows of a good brand, good price. Preferably with a metal or aluminum which ever it was cased in, ballistic.. These cheap ones I got were small in a plastic black box. Cheap as hell. Couldn't even hear them buzz.

That's what you get when you go cheap with lights. You will see some variation in color output and even life reliability. That is why I always work with TRS when I have to do some lighting upgrades.
I had a quad bi-xenon retrofit on my LS430, using their Morimoto D2S projectors and awesome bulletproof ballasts. All the parts came up around $800, not counting the time it took me to put them in, which required like 6 days of work.
Since I can't go cheap when it comes to car's lighting. I'd prefer you get a whole kit from TRS. Go to their website and enter your car's make and model, and it'll suggest some nice kits for you.

Nice stuff on that website. I had a Subaru Legacy that someone had done the cheap hid thing to, it was so much better when I ripped that crap out and used regular bulbs, worst part was that the P.O. had hacked into the stock harness to install this crap so I had to re terminate the wires which were then almost too short to reach.
If it runs an h7 bulb that's all that matters fitment wise.
