98 Es 300 'Shift Solenoid and 02 Sensor "
I recently had these 2 codes come up for my check engine light. They were for the transmission shift solenoids and the o2 sensor.
I had a mechanic look at it and he quoted me 200-300 for each solenoid and 200 to fix the o2 sensor problem.
I feel like this is way too much. Can I easily fix these 2 problems myself?

Do you know the exact codes you are throwing (ex: P0033, P0148,etc)? Oxygen sensors usually run about 100 for the part and you need an 8 or 10 dollar special socket to remove it. If it's the front one it would be a 5 minute job. The rear would be tougher but still doable.
Also, if you don't have a code reader, get either an ELM327 adapter ($10) that will connect to your phone or the techstream software and cable package ($20-30). In one or two trips to get your codes read or cleared it will have paid for itself in gas and time.
