Is there only a light circling the lighter in the pop out ashtray area? Or is it the actual ashtray lit up also?

Mine has a small clear plastic plate on the back of the ashtray. There is a bulb behind that.

How do you replace that? The bulb isnt on the actual ashtray is it

In my 99 Camry it was mounted in the frame above the actual ashtray, you need to pull the frame to swap it, once you get the frame surround out you twist and pull it out, it's a tiny wedge bulb like the one used the in the key hole ring.

I swapped it to an LED.

haven't had to replace the one in the ES yet.
