94 Tail Light Assembly Misaligned *New Member*
Hey guys, I'm the proud owner of a 94 Lexus ES300, purchased August of last year. I'm glad to be on the forums! Before I get to my taillight issue here's a few pics:
I'm the third owner of the car. The first owner was a doctor, and the second owner maintained the car very well. I bought it with 151,059 miles on the odometer, now you can see that I've driven it about 11,000 miles in a year. (Oh yeah, she was 2,200 on Craigslist. STEAL! ) It's my daily driver. Heh this is my first time realizing this fact, actually. So far all I've needed is to replace the factory alt. I need an oil change badly, and I would like to get a tranny flush and plugs But she still rides fairly smooth.
My short term goals are to fix the interior up some...I'd like two front seats from the junkyard and a new steering wheel. I try to keep Lucy washed and waxed, she's due for a wash. This is my first car, and it's been perfect. I love 90 import sedans lol. Especially Toyotas. Sorry if it's too much, I didn't wanna make an intro post then this post also lol. Mods could move if need be?
But onto the headlight issue. The rear bumper has a dent in it:
And i'm under the impression that there's body damage underneath because the headlights sit off-kilter on the rear, like so.
As you can see, its almost as if they're pushed in at the center, they sort of tuck underneath the trunk lid, rather than being flush as they should. Just wondering if someone is familiar with this, and if its fixable. Or if I have something underneath that should be addressed. It seems as if one of the previous owners hit a pole in the rear....
But thanks in advance guys, and I hope to see you on the forums, or in the streets of Stone Mountain!

You'll need to pull the bumper and inspect the body structure to see if there is any damage. I don't know how to pull that bumper specifically but it won't be difficult. I'm not sure but it looks like there is a stress line where the bumper line meets the body, also the tail light assembly mount points could be cracked or broken so that needs to be looked at.
