Used 2003 ES 300
Hi,
I am looking into getting a used 2003 ES 300 with 89K. The timing belt has recently been replaced, but I'm wondering what other repairs I might have to make if I purchase this vehicle with the milage.
Thanks,
Luci

Hello Luci, That is great mileage and the main concern would be the timing belt, water pump, and that's about it. If you end up purchasing it you'd want to take care of the basics such as a synthetic oil change, and probably the transmission fluid. Let me know if you have any questions!

at worst,
perhaps the radiator might need replacing, look for cracks in the plastic, and the colour being a light brown, new the colour is black, when it gets to light brown it's heat stressed.
there could also be an oil leak from the rear cam cover (tappet cover in old money), that would show on the (US) passengers side of the engine, at the rear. or on the sump.
some ES models develop a 'creak' in the rear suspension, that's often the bushes, or the strut tops depending on whom you ask.
hope that helps.
