2000 es300 3.0l trans mount why dont bolts line up?
i have bought the anchor 8644 trans mount( w/o vaiable timing) and the bolts didnt line up then i tried the beck/arnley 1041253 which i thought is with variable timing and that didnt fit either . is the 1041253 non variable also and i need a variable timing mount so the holes line up?

Even if they did fit the mount would fail shortly anyway. You have to use OEM mounts.

At around $200 CAD for a single mount, I’ll try my luck with the aftermarket to at least see if it resolves some of the idle vibration I’m getting.
problem is, even the ones that say they’re identical to the oem part do not fit. They’re actually completely different.

If you mean the mount transmission side by the axle, can get that for $120 shipped from Amayama.
edit - or can get it on Ebay for a bit more.

Thanks that’s quite helpful, it’s averaging $100 to $150 between those sites shipped, and I may not have any choice since the aftermarket has really screwed up on this part.

What might be going on is the terminology for the parts varies a lot. Since the car is transverse, I found some aftermarket sellers to orient the names by the driveline orientation ("transmission rear" = left side mount by left wheel, "transmission Left" = front hydraulic mount). Others use the car orientation. I kept scratching my head until I figured out the nomenclature was not consistent - but this was a few years ago and maybe that's not true any more.

Thanks for that insight! However it would really be impossible to mix this part up, as the transmission side mount is nothing at all like the others. The part manufacturers seem to be making a part that is very similar to the correct one, but has significant differences (for example, the beck/arnley part has 2 bolt holes on a larger part than what the oem is)
