Default It takes 40mins before I drive my car HELPPP!!!

If my car sits for a long period of time it's wont move once I shift in into the drive gear it just sit there Like its in neutral but after 40mins n over time it'll take long n long to drive. It jumps a lil bit n that's how I know it's ready to drive. I changed the filter n tranny oils I wonder it it's the solenoid some 1 help I'm tire of waitn to Drive my damn cAr

First thing to check is the fluid level. It sounds like it may be low and the 40 minute warm-up causes it to expand enough to engage the clutches.

The specific year, mileage and maintenance history might be helpful for other members to assist.

You may have already searched other Lexus posts, but here is one with similar issues and a couple of possible fixes. Sometimes a can of fix-it will work at least for a while. I have used Lubegard products in the past, but not in my Lexus.

96 es300 240,000 miles it's a good car beside the tranny. The tranny was the problem wen I bought it but it's just got worst. But after the car starts to drive everything is fine n it's like the tranny shifts good n all

When is the last time the transmission was flushed. I had coolant from the engine running through my tranny. Pop the hood and look at where the transmission fluid runs if you see a pinkish fluid leaking that's the mix color. If so your going to need a rebuild

I changed the fluid n filter about two weeks ago wen I changed it it wasn't no dirt nor lil pieces of metal I still had my magnets. But I do remember wen I got a CEL IT SAID somethin with solenoid but my CEL KEEPS goin in and out so its hard to get it checked if it doesn't stay on b4 than I resetted it
