okay this is my first post. I have a 98 es300 and when im driving with the cruise on, when i step on the brakes it jerks out of cruise pretty hard, its supposed to just let go and slowly decrease speed but its like im slamming on the brakes. it has all brand new brakes. so if anyone has any suggestions....i have no idea what it could be, i dont just want to start throwing parts at it...thanks for the help

Start with cleaning the throttle body and idle air control valve.


Then check for vacuum leaks and throttle cable tension.

okay i removed and cleaned the throttle body when i bought it...other than it running better.
the throttle cable tension looks to be okay?...is it adjustable on the cruise control side, or could it be something else?
