The quietest, smoothest riding tires I have ever had are Toyo Versado. I thought the "silent wall" feature was hype but was proven wrong.

I can say I like the Bridgestone Turanza's that are on my car right now. They are very quiet and ride nice and smooth. So much better than the Firestone's on my old 16's. Slightly stiffer than my old tires but only because the sidewall is smaller due to 17 inch rims. The only downside is they're only 50,000 mile tires and kinda expensive. But very quiet.

Michelins are tried and true. Expensive though, but they'll give you the comfort and tire wear that you got out of your original set.

General Tire makes a very nice all season tire for the ES at a great price. Check out Tire Rack for the ratings on that and other tires.

Update...... Since Friday there has been a big difference in how my car rides. As you can imagine going from H rated Dunlops (bought the car with them ) to Michelin mxv4s is a huge jump. So far so GREAT

Gotta love that new tire feel, makes it seem like a totally different car than when you are riding on old worn ones.

Since it seems like we're past snowstorms now in the North East (I hope) I've decided to to an update on how my tires handled the winter. It was kinda fitting that we got one of the worst winters in years just when I put on new Michelins (Jan 2015).. I am extremely happy with how they handled. I never got stuck once and the traction was good even on the semi-plowed roads

I am leaning towards the Perelli cinturato p7 . Great reviews across the board and currently have a $60 rebate which takes them down to $465 installed at my local shop.

I actually picked up two Pirelli P7's last week for my Solara because it was cheaper than the Michelins and got good ratings.

I'm going to bolt them up this weekend and see how they ride.
