Default Misfiring on back 3 Cylinders 96 ES300

I bought a 96 es300. Changed the coil packs in the front and the sparks plugs in back and front. But still getting misfiring on 1,3,5 which are the back cylinders. Anybody had this happen to them and what fixed it.

When you say coil packs on the front do you mean the bank facing the radiator? That is bank 2 which has cylinders 2,4,6. Bank 1 is the bank with 1,3,5 which faces the firewall and the one you are having issues with.

I'm having issues with bank 1. The ones near the firewall

Okay so did you change the coil packs on bank 1 or bank 2?

My car had this problem twice. Misfire on 1, 3, 5 and another time misfire on 2, 4, 6. Both times it was the oil control valve on bank 1, then bank 2. If you are getting the "random / multiple misfire" code as well. I would try the oil control valve. Just realized this is a 96 and maybe you don't have oil control valves?

Maybe the plug wires going to the back bank are bad?

I changed the coils on bank 2 which is in front. Bank 1 doesn't have coils. They are wires that run to the coils in the front.

Seems so odd then. It's obviously not an OCV because the car doesn't have VVTI.

I have not changed the wires on the back yet cause I find it hard to believe that all 3 in the back are bad. But that is my next thing to try

That seems to be your best bet. Was the car misfiring when you bought it? Or did it just happen after you bought it.

It was like that when i bought it. The car had been sitting for 2 years. But it crunk right up. Only had to do minor stuff to it like oil and transmission flush. I'm going to try to replace the wires and see what happens

Well i figured out where to start. When i bought the car the vacuum lines weren't hooked up properly. So i took the time to hook them up right. Well thats when the problem started. So today I unhooked the vacuum line that goes to the canister and the problem went away. So now i have to figure out why its causing it to throw those codes with the lines hooked up
