Probably doing a 160 amp alternator?? From where, I tried to get a beefed up alternater from Mr. alternator and I was informed that they don't make one for my es (95). Ohio generater makes one (I think thats the name) but its around $600. Way to much cash for me to spend right now. I think some places wind gererators (forgive me if I screw up the terminology) but how will I know they did it right????

I talked to a guy a while back who's done alot of alternators for people from the audio forums I used to frequent; he said he could do a 160 amp that would be a direct replacement in the $250 range. Everything I've seen on him says his work is top notch, putting out rated amperage at low RPM's, which is a very common problem for high output alts. He also said he could do a 220 amp but the case would be larger and I doubt it would fit, there doesn't seem to be much room around the alt.

I don't think he's worked specifically on the ES, so I was planning on using myself as a guinea pig, if everything worked out I'd let you guys know. I'm planning on getting the stereo done soon, and then I'll decide if I need the alt., I'm 95% sure I will but I'm waiting to drop the cash until I know for sure. I'll keep you guys updated.

Current:
Coach Edition seat retrofit
Sylvania Silverstar low beams (9006)

In Progress:
Gentex Auto-dimming mirror with compass and HomeLink (OEM part for Nissan 350Z), still have to find time to take the car to a willing glass shop and have the mount changed.

Future:
Strut Tower Bar
HID Kit (either Autolamps Philips or Liteswap CATZ), wish I had the skill to do an E39 conversion
17" wheels (possibly O.Z. Opera 1 or 2 pc, however, I'm looking for a nice polished rim, but it seems they all start at 18," with the exception of the 16" Platinum Series wheels, which are polished and look almost identical to the Operas.) If anybody knows of nice 17" wheels in a machined/polished finish with an ES fitment, please drop me a PM. I'm not too familiar with the Japanese wheels.
New struts/lowering springs if going to larger wheels
Wood trim for around the window controls (trying to find REAL wood, and that matches the factory reasonably well)
