Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm glad though that no one got hurt from the accident. I was involved in an accident with my ES in the past, so I know how you feel about this ordeal. Good thing the other person's insurance is footing the bill.

Damn, sorry about your car. I know hat sux. But at least it aint your fault. Tell 'em your back and neck hurt and get compensated for your "injuries". That way you can put more money in you car!! At least your all right.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Cars are replacable, people aren't. Thank God you were not hurt.

Get it fixed right and the way you want. Don't settle for less, you have the right to have the car returned to the condition it was or better before the accident. Just be calm during the whole ordeal.
I just got out of it, and mine was minor. But it feels wicked good knowing you were not at fault (I know I did).

steviej

PS, from your drawing, it looks like the blue car came barreling through traffic.

well she was actually moving slow, trying to squeeze through to get accross my lane too, to the gas station to my right. but she didnt make it that far. yeah, i am thinking that this is going to cost a lot for my car to be fixed. im going to need new headlights, new hood, new fender, new quarter panel, and new fender supports(maybe).

Couldn't agree more, but I feel your pain with the damaged car. I've lost a few friends in accidents and totalled a few cars (totally seperate), the cars can be replaced; people can't.

hey eric, just noticed the thread. sorry, man.
glad you're not hurt. hope the lex gets fixed and back into tiptop shape.
the damage you listed seems like quite a lot. may be into a few thousand... at least it's not your bill.

main thing is no one is hurt .
When you get it fixed make everything clear with the body shop . I am sure a lot of people here have had bad experiences . I know I did , Luckily the were a reputable shop so resolved the issue when I brought it up .

I would take it to the dealership and have them repair it. Just my opinion. That way if there's any other damage, it won't be "overlooked", and fixed instaed of them trying to do a fast and quick job. Hey, it ain't comming outta your pocket.

That sucks dude. I hope all goes well with the repairs. The roads are full of stupid drivers, apparently that girl is one of them.

well actually, babay lex. a lot of Lexus dealerships don't deal with body damage. they don't do that type of stuff. sure they can order the parts, but they don't have someone to quote damage and install the parts. the paint they might be able to do, but considering most of the front end, and a clearcoat, they might not spend the time on it, so a shop would be able to get it all done. since the other person is paying, take it to a nice shop

even nice shops have lazy employees . I took my car to a certified lexus repair center . they do all the work for 2 lexus dealers .

you have to be carefull that they use the parts and service they quote you for .
