Post ES Tires

Anyone else NOT like the stock Michelin MXV4's (15") like the ones on my '98 and many other years I'm sure.

They seem to have no traction in rain or snow and the back end of my car always wants to fishtail on the slightest amount of snow, I feel like I'm driving a rear wheel drive!

What do you use?

I've got Bridgestone Potenza RE92 (16"). Very quiet on dry, good traction on dry, not bad in rain, adequate in snow.

I've got Goodyear Eagle GT2, or maybe it's GA2. Anyway, they are good.

Yeah I have recently found out how crappy those tires are, except mine are 16's. The same tires, which we just had put on my sisters lexus perform decent enough, but they for some reason dont grip in my accord I guess it the extra power. They came stock on the accord.

I have some continental H rated bad boys on my ride, they hook like NONE other....I can barely break em loose...VERY nice tires in my opinion. they are a touring tire tho...very quite I might add

I would have gotten a high performance tire....but with minnesota winters...EH

I have Kuhmo's on mine. Great traction wet/dry handling, and thread pattern. It really comes down to money/preference and of course wheel size.

Thumbs up

I reccommend Dunlop SP5000. Great combination of grip and bad-weather traction.

i used to have aquatreads on my gm nice tire when new they wear down it looses its design quality
then on my 94 es michelin x ones real good in any weather and cheap
had kuhmo 712's until last week
average in dry ok in wet and crap in snow but a good price for 18's
now have toyo t1s 's real nice grip dry snow still crap but they are summer only if you need all season i recommend x one best bet for anything
unless you are in a non snow belt area

hope this helps

does the car roll less
yes
as the sidewall is much less to compress but a strut bar will reduce it nicely by stiffing the body and steering feel
plus a real cheap mod
the suspension is the better way to go further but way more expensive
sorry to get so off track

I have 225/40WR18 Kumho Ecsta supra 712's on my car. I'm a Michelin fan but their ultra high performance tires are out of my price range.

For oem 205/65R15 or 205/60R16 sizes, I would recommend the Pilot XGT H4 or V4 for all season tires.
