Without knowing what the actual code(s) are, no one can tell you what the problem could be.

Either get an inexpensive ($30.00) OBD II code reader and retrieve the codes yourself, or go to Autozone, and they'll retrieve it for you free if charge.

Is your car the 2002 es300? You should include it in your signature.

I own a 2000 ES300 Lexus, mileage 110K , in 11/2013 the Engine and Track Off lights went off, code P0442, I have the EVAP vacuum switching valve replaced at Automax, cost $515.00. Three month later, Engine & Track Off lights went off again. This time it was code P01130-P01135 Oxygen sensor. Replaced it at a friend's auto shop, cost $300.00 (when Automax estimate $527.00), I could have saved money had I brought my car to the later shop. It's been three month and I have not had that problem again. I was told this is a common with the Lexus ES300.
Hope this information help.
