2005 ES 330 Key Ignition Programming
Hi all, new here on clublexus and hope someone can help with my questions.
I have only one working key (the master) and want to add another key that can start the car. I have a blue obd key programmer I got from ebay a few years ago (pic below) which I've successfully used years back to program keys after lots of trial and error-- the instructions are horrible.
My questions:
1) I have only one key, is it safe to use this device? In other words can I screw things up worse and end up with no keys that work?
2) Is it possible to add another key with techstream? I assume this is easier to follow.
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hmm, surprised no one had this issue!
FWIW, here's the story:
1) Was a little afraid of the blue key programmer since I've accidentally removed keys from the ECU with it years ago in addition to being successful with it. The instructions that came with it are crap.
2) Down to only one working key I decided to get the cheapest techstream cable on ebay (<$20) and followed the instructions here: http://www.rav4world.com/forums/96-4...echstream.html
Happy to answer questions if anyone else is in the same boat I was.
