Ryan 2004 ES330 Headlight Issues!
Hey whats up guys. I'm new here to club Lexus. I just got a 2004 ES330 navy blue, leather, fully loaded! I love everything about the car EXCEPT for the headlights. I recently purchased Anzo Black Halo Eagle Eye CCFL projector headlights. I really love the halo daytime running/parking light look similar to BMW's or new Camero's. Below there is a pic of the Anzo Halos. So, I take them up to a custom shop to get them installed only to find out my car has HID headlights and the Anzo headlights are not, therefor they dont just mount and plug. CALL ME CRAZY, I realize that the Anzo headlights will not be as bright as my existing HIDs, but I don't care I just want my ES330 to look a little more custom. So I found a master automotive electrician that says that he should be able to rewire from HID to CCFL and make it work. our only concern is the automatic leveling light. HAS ANYONE HEARD OF ANYONE EVER ATTEMPTING SOMETHING LIKE THIS??? And will the automatic leveling light throw the service engine or maintenance light?
Any Ideas?

Update, So I called a Lexus Dealer and spoke to the service tech manager that has worked on Lexus' for 20 years... I explained the situation. My main concern was with all the electronics, sensors, and modules in this car that messing with the wiring and the sensors, that it would cause my service engine light to come on.(and everyone knows the hoops you have to jump though at motor vehicle to resolve that stupid light.) But the service manager assured me that the "automatic leveling light" or the computer reading that my headlights are not functioning properly will not cause a service engine light to come on! I can live with the auto leveling light on the dash to always stay on if it doesn't effect anything else. So next week, I guess I roll the dice and head into the unknown to see if this will work!?!
