Default Gas tank range and mpgs..

I was reading on Edmund's that my 97 es get 17
city and 24 hwy...I was tracking my mpgs and I get 23ish on the hwy.

Edmund's show these stats... Range in miles (cty/hwy): 314.5/444.0 mi.

EPA mileage est. (cty/hwy): 17/24 mpg...

444 on the hwy on a full tank?? I get close like 350 and thats taking the tank close to empty...

So are they numbers right?

No there range isn't really accurate, all they do is multiply the tank size by the epa estimated hwy mpg, and then bam that's the highway range.

I don't let it go on empty or pump when the light comes on but sometimes I don't even get 300 miles off a tank with mixed driving.
