2000 ES300 Cross Country Road Trip
Took a cross country trip in my 2000 ES300 over the weekend and thought I would share the experience. Starting in Pittsburgh, the ES300 was a smooth comfortable ride out to Arizona. Mileage is consistently above the EPA highway rating of 26 with the exception of the leg between Colorado City, TX to Las Cruces, NM, where the speed limit through much of that leg was 80. Still the car got over 25mpg. Total Average MPG is impressive for a car this size at over 27.5.
This is one solid car. LOVE it. The table below is not formatted the way I'd like.
Gas Vendor Location Cost Mileage Gallons MPG
10/25/13 Marathon Munfordville, KY 53.45 73,733 16.60 28.19
10/25/13 Love’s Little Rock, AR 49.70 74,178 16.24 27.40
10/25/13 Love’s Weatherford, TX 41.40 74,564 13.80 27.97
10/26/13 Chevron Colorado City, T 22.95 75,757 7.26 26.60
10/26/13 Chevron Las Cruces, NM 53.85 75,178 16.50 25.50
10/27/13 Chevron Phoenix, AZ 49.35 75,640 15.62 29.57
Total Gas: 270.70 Avg. MPG 27.53

Nice. I have a 97 ES300 with +280k miles.
On a nice warm summer day, with AC off, highway only, going no more than 70 mph, I was able to achieve 30 mpg on regular 87 Oct gas.
