99 ES300 early fuel cut/rev limiter?
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue.
This is the problem with my brothers 99 ES300
Cold it has zero issues.
When warmed up it runs perfectly at idle and part throttle under 4500 rpm. At wide open throttle it sounds like it's hitting a rev limiter at 4400-4500 rpm.
It does the exact same thing in neutral. Won't rev past 4400-4500rpm at part or wide open in neutral. Sounds exactly like a rev limiter but what would be the cause of it intervening early?
No codes. Fuel pressure steady (checked). MAF cleaned, then replaced, no change.
Any input appreciated. Thanks!
