Odometer display is blank

My 93 Es300 had about 218,000 miles on it. One day I noticed the odometer was blank!! I replaced just the odometer with one from ebay and it is still blanked out and dark. Everything else on the dash works fine and lights up as it should. The speedo and tach are fine. Just the odometer display is blacked out like it is not getting power or something. Does anyone know if there is a fuse or known issue like this?
