Default Has anyone blacked out their grill on their '02+ 4ES?

I recently picked up a white '02 ES300 for my commuter car.

One thing I dislike about the front of the car is the OEM grill. I like the chrome accents, but the surrounding portion which is painted body color looks really cheap (in my case pearl white).

Has anyone painted, or plasti dipped their grill black? If so, do you have any pics?

Thanks!

Here you go. We have a member called BenES300 who hasn't posted in a few months, but blacked out his grille.

There's also a seller on eBay who offers a replacement billet grille in either chrome or black.

Here it is: Has anyone blacked out their grill on their '02+ 4ES?-1r9radm.jpg

I prefer the factory "chrome" 3 bar 02-04 or the 5 bar 05-06 grilles though.

I think this one would look nice on the car. Or you could try masking your grille and selectively blacking out the non-chrome part.

Perfect, thanks man - that's exactly what I was looking for.

I think I may start with Plasti Dip since I already have some and it's reversable. I'll post a pic once it's painted.

In for pics! You'll probably see a nice improvement just from blacking out the white vertical strakes in the grille. That style grille will stand out more.
