I also JUST got an oil change and new oil filter put on like literally 45 minutes ago. Kind of worried to drive it as it seems unsafe not being able to accelerate at the speed that needs to be gone when making turns through intersections and what not.

PROBLEM

When I push down on the gas pedal fully the car should be accelerating quickly... but instead it gets really boggy and drops rpms. I can very gradually accelerate to 55-60~ MPH but it takes time and any further than that the gas pedal will need to go down more but at that point it starts to drop RPMs and get boggy. Anything I can check for myself before I go diagnose the problem with Auto Zones check engine light checker thingy?

Other than that the car runs great and I guess the mechanic zapped the battery from my previous posts where I took it in with a starter problem. When I first got it back from him and tried to start the car it will fire up but then would just die off. But It eventually was fired up and drove it for a long time and now that's not an issue anymore. I guess the alternator just needed to juice up the battery as it was zapped by the mechanic removing a wire from the ignition to the starter that didn't even need to be there.
Classic sign of CAT being blocked. Obviously can be other stuff to so before jumping to conclusions here is a simple test. Unscrew one of the ocygen or air fuel ratio sensors. Front one is easiest to get to. IF cat is blocked it makes it hard for gases to escape and causes the bogging. Once u remove this sensor if cat is truley blocked some of the gases can escape from that hole and u shud notice enginer performs better , easier to accelerate. Dont do for too long as u will have hot gases in the engine bay

If the check engine light is on you must pull the code first. Do not remove a oxygen sensor as suggested to determine if the cat is blocked.
