Default 04ES330 will not start (immobilizer off/battery good)

Hello all..This is my first post. Im having a problem with the car..All lights (interior and exterior) are workings, radio, nav and wipers. Check the battery and fuses as well as well as the interior immboilizer/security light turns off so the immboilizer should canceal but the car still will not turn on. Im baffled at this point. If anyone has any insight it would be highly appreciate. I will continue to search the site in the mean time..Thank you for your time!

Probably a weak battery or dirty connections. How did you check the battery? Try a boost/jump start and see if she cranks.

Disconnect and clean the +/- terminals. When putting back on, make sure they are very tight.

Also check health of the battery. A low battery can power eveything you listed, but won't start a car.

**Also big one, check the battery in your key remote. If it is dead/low the car wont' recognize it and won't let you start the car.

I don't think this is correct, I have started the car with a dead remote and also does the valet key have a battery?

Hello all..Actually I just started the car (the emergency key). Car seem fine at first but what I notice while sitting in the car park for about 30 mins was a weird, constant, electrical sound coming from the ignition/tachometer area. I have never heard this before. I turn the car on and off several times and the immobilizer was working fine and the car started right up. I let the car sit for about 10 mins and now it won't start and I could still hear the odd sounds. It sounds like a loose connection in the starter/ignition? Maybe a relay problem? Has anyone experience these weird sounds before? I'd appreciate any input! Thanks!!

What have you checked since your last post, was the battery load tested? A weak battery and/or loose and dirty connections can cause issues. You need to rule out basic things first.

Hello Homerjay ...The battery has been tested..It is a good battery but was a little low but it was fully charge..

Has anyone done a DIY on the starter..I'm looking to have it tested but looking for decent instructions on how to get to the starter. I will do a search but if anyone has any info feel free to reply Thanks guys..

Update:
-I took out the starter and had it test at Autozone. The starter is good.
-Installed the starter..The car turned right on..Turned on/off several times without a hitch. Drove to Autozone and had the alternater tested. Tested as being good.
-Came home, turn off the car but the car wouldn't crank back over..nothing at all.
Could this be an issue with immobilizer? I put the key in and the security light that blinks in the car goes off but when I try to turn on the car I get nothing at all.
When your key fob doesn't work the car sounds like its starting but never turns over. With this issue I get no engine sound trying to turn over..Just won't start (all interior and exterior lights work) Could this be an ignition problem?? Any input would be highly appreciated.

on a Volvo, there is an electrical portion of the igniton switch that can go bad, and your problem may be something like this. take the cover off of the steering wheel area and look around, tell us what you see. after all these starting attempts, how low does the battery voltage get?

Hey Paul I changed the ignition switch..Still doesn't start. Do you know the area where the ignition rely is located? I think my next area of attack is the starter rely.

Correction: The problem was the ignition switch, after securely tightening the battery terminals the car starts without a hitch. Thanks to all that replied.
