94 es300 fuel pressure regulator
I have a 94 es300 and need to change my fuel pressure regulator, and was wondering if anyone knew where they are located on this engine and the best/easiest way to change it? Thanks

I took my 96 es300 in to get it checked and I was advised that its fuel pressure regulator may need replacing. Upon looking it up on the 1997_Lexus_ES_300_FSM, I see that it's located IN the fuel pump. But then I'm looking at the fuel rail under the hood and it looks like it's at the end of it. I was wondering if only one of those is the fuel pressure regulator or if both are. Additionally, if it happens to be in the fuel pump, is it safe to assume that buying a new fuel pump like the http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Intank-Electric-Fuel-Pump-Install-Kit-/271121975289?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1996%7CModel%3AES300&hash=item3f202107f9&vxp=mtr will also include a fuel pressure regulator? Thanks!

Fuel pressure gauge PR177
Is the problem only the fuel pressure regulator if everything else works? In my lexus under hood there is smell of gas, spark plugs smell like freshly soaked with gasoline, lots of fuel pressure, spark good, distributor good, cables new, spark plugs new, it won't start even with starting fluid pumped into the throttles body but there is lots of wet fuel in the cylinders it's quite a puzzle. Everything tested good now trying to change the fuel pressure regulator. eBay has it for $50 PR177.

Sounds more like a timing issue.
Many auto parts stores will loan a fp tester for free (e.g., - they have loaner tools you charge and then return) - I borrowed one once from O'Reillys. Check you need the part before throwing money and time at the wrong thing.
Did your timing belt slip, or some other timing-related issue?
