What is the best solution for white DRL's on a 4ES 02-06 es300/es330
Hey guys,
I have a 02 es300 and recently my drl on my driver side went out. So I went searching on the forums to come to the conclusion that us 4es owners dont have much love here lol I couldnt find any recent threads about putting white DRL's on .
Anyways
Anyone have any suggestion to make my DRL's white? I know that the DRL's are just high beams running on half of the watts
Thanks

By the way, are you still running the stock 194 bulbs for the parking light (the small light on the outside corner)? I just changed mine from the stock 194 to 20 SMD white led bulbs.

I don't think HID's in the high beam are a good idea either. They won't work at half voltage which means the DRL would be either disabled or at full brightness during the day. HID's also take a few seconds to warm up, so it won't be good if you need to flash with your highbeams.
Another alternative is an LED 9005 bulb.
They'll light up white and flash fine, however it won't be as bright as a standard 9005 bulb for high beam.
Or, you could disable your highbeam DRL altogether and put in auxiliary "LED DRLs", a lighting strip under the headlight or a dedicated DRL fog light. IMO those could look tacky if not done right.
Just stick with halogen Silvana bulbs, that are slightly whiter than the stock bulbs.
