Default Rough running and codes

Had this happen on the way to work, haven't been able to look at it but thought I'd post and see if anyone else has had similar situation. Everything was fine then the CEL started blinking (mis-fire). Seemed a little sluggish which I expected. Was very rough on idle. I didn't shut it off and pulled codes - got P0770 plus 4 pending codes - P0300, P0302, P0305, and P1130. Now the P03xx codes don't bother me at the moment, I know what they are. The P0770 and P1130 are a different matter, P0770 is shift solenoid E (lockup) and P1130 is AF sensor bank 1 sensor 1. As they all came on at the same time I don't think the parts are the issue. Considering the codes and behavior, I'm thinking either an intake leak after the AF sensor or possibly a vacuum leak. Any takers?? It's a 2000 ES300

Did not get an opportunity to look at it tonight since it's raining but, I did clear the codes at work. When I drove it home, definite mis-fire. The P0770 code is gone and it now consistently has a P0305 (mis-fire #5) and the P1130 code. I'm still thinking possible intake air issue. Any insights?

Could be a bad fuel injector that's throwing off your A/F ratio in bank 1. I would check if you're running rich or lean. I would also check the voltage of that A/F sensor.

No lean or rich codes and no smoke (white or black) from the exhaust so I'm thinking that maybe it's just due for plugs/wires. They were due at 90k and I don't know if the previous owner did them as all I see is a timing belt done then. I think I'll order plugs and wires as it likely needs them anyway and would at least eliminate them. If I understand it, this uses a waste spark system right? If so then I know coil is not the issue. Any other ideas shoot 'em my way. Thanks Booby Dude...

2000 ES300 uses 6 coils, no wires. They stopped the waste spark with the 98 MY. How many miles are on the car?

It's at 145k, so it could possibly be a coil. Crap. Guess I'll swap out the #5 coil with one from the front bank when I do the plugs so I can easily change it if that turns out to be it.

Bit of an update... I cleared codes after shutting it down last night. This morning it popped P0300, P0302, P0303 first thing. After going into closed loop it added P1130 and P1133.

check ignition system first boots and plugs. hope it's not the OCV that's causing the misfire code.

I'm not sure the OCV would be the culprit as it's not limited to one bank. In any event, I plan to replace the plugs as soon as they get here, that will allow me to look around a bit closer. How difficult is it to clean the OCV filters?

That'll be the plan. To the best of my knowledge these are OE plugs. I thought they did the full 90k service but it looks like they only did the timing belt. No spark plugs receipts at all.

Running nice now, I don't know how some of those plugs were even working. I replaced the plugs and it had one dead coil as well. While I was there I went ahead and replaced the valve cover gaskets. Was not pleased to find a lot of varnish and a dark brown color... this engine is sludged up. But it's running like a top at the moment.

There's some sludge in there although not nearly that much. Unfortunately, it doesn't take much to create a problem. I'll keep to my 5k oil change schedule and just drive it.
