Hello everyone! I just got a blue/green/grey 2005 Lexus ES330 on 17" wheels. It has 126k and came with full maintenance records. Extras are HID lights, rear window sunshade (I had no idea they made these!), and heated and cooled seats (love these!). This is an upgrade from my 96' camry, and I'm loving it! I really like the quiet and smooth ride...

Hello all,
Recently acquired a Black 1999 ES300 coach - Found this site when troubleshooting and WOW, what a wealth of info. The car needed/needs work but with the great post here I've made some good headway. I'm not, by any stretch of the imagination, a mechanic, but I do have decent tools and a troubleshooting background as I work with vintage stereo gear for a living.
The ES300 was throwing all sorts of trouble codes when I got it, probably caused by the known sludge issue, Three Oxygen sensors and two oil control valves later - I believe I have that under control thanks to the detailed informative posts here. More to do that starts with a power steering leak that I located today. It looks like I got lucky as it's a return line that doesn't look difficult to replace. I won't get into all that, but I did want to introduce myself and say THANKS to the community here.
I thought there was a wealth of info on home stereo repair in internet forums, Nothing compared to this.

Hey guys just wanted to say whatsup and show you guys my 97es300. Aside from the hid lights it's completely stock. Did headlight restoration, it's fully clayed, polished and waxed. All done on my own at work. (On my day off of course lol)

1994 es300 overheating head gasket
What's up!
First time posting. So thankful for this website! I Recently bought a 94 es300 with 138k miles, and now it started overheating. I did check the oil and it seemed fine. So I didn't think it was a blown HG. I replaced the coolant reservoir tank because the one it had was just busted and trash, maybe the original one it came with which scares me because maybe a lot of other parts on the car are original and will need to be serviced/replaced. Anyways, I was hoping that would fix the issue, however it is still overheating. So what I'm reading now is maybe could be the t-stat or water pump etc... However I checked the oil again and now it is a creamy/coffee type color,, is that an automatic blown head gasket?

Hi, I'm a newbie to the forum and a new Lexus owner, well used Lexus. It's a 2005 ES with 130k. It's in pretty good shape inside and out and runs great. I've been trying to find info on replacing the bulbs for the climate control panel. The dealer quoted $1400 saying they would replace the entire panel. I didn't ask any questions about why they couldn't replace the bad bulbs. Is there a difference between the ES300 and the ES330 models as far as these units and ability to replace the bulbs?
Any help would be appreciated. Also, if anyone has or knows of tutorials on accessing the panel/bulbs that would be great. From what I've been able to find it doesn't seem it would be too difficult to do.
Thanks,

Hey everybody,
New to the forum and Lexus. Just bought a 2004 ES330 from the original owner. Car has 125K miles on it and looks new inside and out. But, the steering and suspension seem kind of loose and I'm wondering if there are any common conditions that might cause the suspension to feel jiggly.
Thanks and can't wait to participate in the forum.

The struts and the mounting brackets can easily be shot at this point. Not a bad thing to have to fix for the miles.
