Question 02 ES300 Rims and Coilovers Questions

Hey guys,

Im new here . I have a black 2002 Lexus ES300 with about 159k miles on it. Runs great ( knock on wood ). I just put in a double din Pioneer AVH-8400BH with a BOYO backup camera and 2 12" RF subs and 1500wat RF amp. Now for the issues:

The back obviously is a lot lower than the front due to the subs being heavy. My struts are out anyways so I was thinking coilovers because it would lower my car so the back wont be low and the front high. If i do get coilovers, will it solve my problem?? And is there any DIY to install them? Im 18 years old and been fixing&assisting my uncle fixing cars since i can remember lol. I have read Smitty's thread about coilovers, but would it be the same on my ES?

Also, I found these rims on ebay, they are powder coated black Lexus Rims. They look very nice and I want to keep the car looking clean and factory. They are going for $500 + shipping. Check them out at

Now will this work with my coilovers? Also what tires would you guys recommend I put these on? These will obviously be my summer rims.

Thanks

Before you buy those wheels, check out Tire Rack and Discount Tire. You may well find ones you like better and you can see what they look like on your car.

I would go with 18" or 19" wheels instead of 17s, and recommend Michelin tires. You can see many reviews of tires at TireRack. I considered doing the summer wheel thing, but I went with 18" Michelin MXMs - an excellent, all season tire which provides great ride quality. If you do want to go with summer tires, Michelin Super Sports are some of the best summer tires you can buy. The Hankook Ventus V12 is another alternative for a good summer tire.
