Me, myself and ES300. Need help! CEL and tranny slipping after MAF and IACV cleaned
Hello everyone!
Glad to be a part of the community, albeit after an issue arose with my car :S
My CEL came on and tranny feels like slipping on 3rd after I cleaned out my MAF sensor (is mine a Karman Vortex??) and IACV (used recommended sprays). Mine is a '98 with 177K and in great shape. The tranny was replaced at 110k along with water pump and timing belt. My battery was very weak as well and I just put a new one in. The reason I cleaned out the MAF sensor and the throttle body and IACV is because my car was stalling after starting at very low rpm. I also pulled the ecu, efi and hazard fuse (kept them off for an hour) to reset the CEL and ecu, and it helps for a few mins sometimes but the same problem will start again and the CEL will come back on.
My idle rmp will usually be around 700-1100 and whenever I put the car in park or neutral, it goes up from 750 to 1000-1100. I have no idea what to do nex....any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the response. I really hope I missed something to connect the last time. I'll go back in again today and post back. Thanks a lot for taking the time to comment!

Have you scanned the CEL for codes? It could give you a clue at what to look for. You said you cleaned your IACV, so you had to remove the vacuum/coolant hoses that go to the throttle body. Double check them and make sure you didn't mix them up.
I honestly don't see why anything you've done would have caused an issue, unless you messed something up. I did the same things to my 98 and it runs fine. There is a chance that you somehow damaged the MAF.
