Default Brake caliper question

So the previous owner installed a new caliper on the front of my 1996 ES300, I just do not know which one. The front driver side is making a lot more brake dust (the rim looks like it is gun metal within 3 weeks) than the passenger side so I figured I would swap out the pads for something less dusty. After looking at the calipers, I noticed that one side has a single piston caliper and one is a dual piston caliper. Since I do not know which caliper is original and which is new, I wanted to just replace them both along with pads and rotors. Question is which caliper is the OEM type, dual or single piston? I looked on O'Reilly and Amazon and both have dual and single piston reman'ed calipers so I am confused.

Thanks

Your car came with dual piston calipers. Whoever worked on the car previously should be shot, you can't put a completely different caliper on only one side of the car. Make sure the replacement has properly greased slide pins, I've had remans that were not done properly and the slide pins has no grease at all in them. I do my own rebuilds now so I know it is done correctly.

yea, replace the single with a dual piston, but the brake dust part is more or less about the pads.
a really really dusty pad simply means it's pretty ****ty.
