My es300 had a rectangle button next to the automatic transmission shifter which would raise a black shield over the back windshield from the interior, clearly to cut down on sun.

I have not been able to find this feature on any other es300 for sale and for the life of me cannot find the name of this feature anywhere online.

The reason I ask is because my car was recently totaled and I would like to make note of this feature to the insurance company to negotiate for a higher settlement

Its called power rear sunshade, have it my 04 ES, very common, why note to insurance? Car wrecked? When I looked at my 04, every ES on the lot had this feature.

Thanks a million, yes the car is more than likely totaled though I have not received the final word yet. It is a 2003 es300 with 90k miles and I hit a tree and side of the car, front hood crinkled up like an accordion,though the airbags did not go off. Hope it is totaled because it likely would not drive the same again if it was repaired. Right now it is sitting in a tow yard.
I literally have looked at 100 2003 es300s online and could not find one with the 'power rear sunshade'. Really appreciate your help

sorry to hear about the wreck, hope your o.k. must not have been a common option on the 03 ES. If it is totaled, I hope you get another, great cars, a lot of 03-06 Es cars out there. Take care.
