Hello all.

I am the proud new owner of a boring ES 300. =] 170k got her for 3900.

use to own a mazda.

I'm looking to tune this car.. things on this forum are not organized very well =[

and for some reason not too many people tune a ES, which = no build threads or used performance parts.

To the tuners out there: what are the cheap / easy mods that'll make this car quick(er)

Will I be able to pull a 7 second 0-60. This seems quite manageable with a 3 liter. (my old car had a 2.0... and a 5 speed )

Get a different car. On a more serious note, you can tune your suspension, and freshen up the look of the car, but that's about it. This car is a comfortable cruiser, not a sports car.

Welcome to CL. you want it to go faster, sure, I wont shut down your idea, EEngineer/ASG14 will tell you the same.

Basic mods: Suspension, lighting, sound. rims, tint, very basic things

Now you want power sure, you can get a super charger for this engine. Will it be a slap on easy thing? NOPE, get ready to spend about 4-5 thousand on it.

If you are thinking of throwing on a short ram and exhaust, short ram, will shorten your torque, I had one installed the stock on back on, much more responsive. Exhaust, more for sound then go. In the end its all for sound.

Or search for solara's and Camry's all have the same to similar engine (this part I can be wrong).

welcome to CL. best mod to start with are definitely suspension mods.
afterwards, you could do intake exhaust
once you got spare cash, look for a TRD supercharger kit for the 1MZ-FE motor.
