Any way to get around the dealer cost of new keys?
Anyone have experience with buying blank 3 button remote keys and the plain transponder key? Any experience with having keys made by locksmiths? Any advice or reliable places to buy blank keys online? This is for a 2004 ES 330. Thanks.

The "3 button" keys almost always break with enough time, I bought a replacement shell off of Ebay where they can cut the key for you when you give them your VIN. It was about $100-$200 cheaper than going through the dealer, I want to say around $40 for two keys. They're also reinforced to last longer than the crap factory Lexus ones that will only break again.
You just have to take the old transmitter part out and put the new shell around it.

Best key replacements. The dealer will cut the key if you have your old key. It costs like $20.
