need advice on how to adjust Idle speed ....
Being new to actually working on anything newer than cars that date back to the 70s I could use some help now that I have most of the issues under control....
With every part I replace and get back into working shape she runs a bit better and driving down the road runs absolutly great now...but sitting in park in teh drive she is idleing to fast now and I think I probably need to adjust that back a bit .....How do I go about this?
I am still waiting for the egr modulator valve to replace my patched one and if that could cause a fast Idle then I might have to readjust back up a bit after replacing that part.
today I replaced the pcv valve and grommet and did little cleaning on the engine and transmission to get rid of built up old funk but I did not wash it down I used a flexable gripper tool with a paper towel held in the grippers and alternatly knocked some loose then wiped in down and a touch of pb blaster in the spots right on top of the tranny by the engine to get it off ....
Found a couple of minor oil leaks but I dont think they are much to worry about yet although I think one may be the rear main and I will be fixing that this spring when It is warm enough to work on her in the driveway .
She is idling just a bit too fast and when shifting into drive its rougher than is good for the transmission or drive train

Im wondering if old tired o2 sensors could be the cause maybe ? I have one already but figured I would do them both at once so was waiting untill I had my collection of new parts together and could get several things finished at the same time.

There is no idle speed adjustment as such.
Idle speed: should be 700 ±50 rpm, If the idle speed is not as specified, than check the IAC valve, air intake system, and the engine temperature/coolant sensor.
