ES300 front suspension bearing replacement
has anyone replaced the bearing in front suspension? I believe bearings in both front struts are shot. I don't know if it is recommended to replace the seats that go under the bearings. Could you tell me if I need to replace the coil spring seat and the support assembly that goes on top of bearing?
I appreciate your help.

If original -- I would replace the whole upper strut mount -- you will have to look at the spring seat -- they are often fine.
I would also price out the OE mounts -- If you are going to keep the car the few extra dollars well spent. Its not an expensive part ..... its the labor and the alignment.

Mileage?
I did all four of mine, even though the backs were only toast. It will be a matter of a few miles before the rear gives out, so why pay twice for the same work? I say you do what i did get the whole suspension set from www.rockauto.com [stupid cheap when compared to anywhere - even eBay], including monroe quick struts [has all the components, no need to compress old spring onto new strut & new mounts. its ALL there, literally drop them in], and new bushgings [40$ front & back] & endlinks [<100$ front & back] Those QuickStruts should be in the 550$ range...
