Wow. 'Merica!

13$ gets me ONE wash at the gas station wash. After filling up, otherwise closer to 16$
*for the 'best' quality wash*

One gripe I have about those drive thru car washes, aside from them ruining the paint finish, is the fact that they're spraying water on very hot drivetrain components. That's why I stopped going to those places altogether, even if they're touchless, in fear of thermal shock.

Meh. It's -28, went again to get it re-washed since there wasn't much of a rinse off the first wash. Car was "operating temp". Been doing it for years.

You won't catch me at a splash & dash in the winter!

quarter car wash for me and my 2 es 330's 2004, stupid cold in Mich. car wash less then a mile from my home, get the salt off, they don't freeze up in the garage. Do this about twice a week, can't wait for spring.

I also go to a nearby coin wash. The minimum is $1 for 1.5 minutes of high pressure hose.

I put $2 to presoak, fill up my bucket, then rub down the car body with a soapy sponge and another $2 to rinse it off. I also get the hose underneath the car to rinse off any salt residue. Then wisk off most of the water from the car body with a shower squeegee before it freezes and leaves water-marks.

The water is steaming hot so it keeps my hands from freezing when washing the car, even below -20C . They open 24 hours, but the best time to go is early morning or after dusk and avoid weekends because of lineups.

I just don't trust drive-thru car-washes anymore. The "soft cloth" wash picks up dirt from other cars, and potentially lay scratches on your paint. The "touchless" washes don't wash as clean, and my cars have sunroofs that I'd rather not leak.

Best $4 spent on a hand wash once a week and cheaper than any drive thru.

Finally had time to install the Grom unit I happily paid $30 dollars for;

The sound quality is AMAZING on this thing! Better quality than CD's. Also, I was able to retain my steering wheel and radio controls. $30 dollars well spent.

(Don't laugh at my obsolete technology)

Also installed some Rain-X Latitude wipers on my Es;

Nice windshield wipers, but definitely NOT worth the high price tags.
But they do look nice, I love the look of the newer style wipers.

Figure i'd finish her off with a nice wash
Have I mentioned that I love these newer style windshield wipers?
It's the simple things that count.

I gave my Lexus a hand-wash today,

It was so cold that everything froze before I was able to wipe it dry

The from unit is great, I have it in 3 different cars, one I use through the Bluetooth but it was well worth it, but how was yours only $30? I paid $150 per haha. Those wipers are good, I had them but after a month they chattered like crazy, so I went back to the bosche icons

1. Fresh brake fluid (bleed & fill)
2. Fresh power steering fluid (bleed & fill)
3. Washed and waxed
4. Cleaned wheels with ironx and decided to try a bit of wheel wax to maintain their clean look.
5. Treated windshield with rainx
6. Cleaned the seats (steamed/cleansed/conditioned)
About 8 hours of work in all.

Also ordered some Hydro2 I want to start using in the future. Anyone have any experiences?

Today I wired up the 3rd Brake light I need for a warrant of fitness... Also picked up 2 tyres from a wreckers for $40NZD each which is a bargain - they look almost new, with at least 90-95% tread on them.. I also got a catch thingy while I was at the wreckers to stop the drivers floor mat sliding around...
