how much did it cost to have installed and did you have any problems?

cause i just bought one off ebay and it has the two way pager thing that lets you know your car alarm is going off and it has a remote start feature.

i have no idea where to go to get it installed and how much it will cost.

ps. im in columbia, maryland if anyone knows where that is.

i have a viper 550 esp w/ remote start that I installed myself. It's about $300 i would guess to get installed. Most independant stereo shops will do it for you. You should just do it yourself.

i have a basic starter with power door locks and trunk release .

The only reason i got it was becasue lexus was charging arm and leg for new key remote . I paid around 210 installed from circuit city . Lifetime warranty on hardware and installation .

i should have done that.

cause now i paid 125 for this alarm and i know they gonna charge a bunch to get it installed but i needed that two way pager.

and lol @amrit i wouldnt even think about installing it myself....im in the middle of installing new speakers and its a pain in the *** cause i have no help.

i need serious help installing this new component set if someone can help me hit me up.

I have the Viper 550 w/remote start and windows. Viper just came out with a two way key chain with LCD. I was told it would be $275 to upgrade to that. I originally paid $200 for the 550 installed.

i went with aftermarket too b/c i didnt want to waste money at the dealer for a replacement key/remote. my car only came with ONE KEY and NO REMOTE.

anyway my friend and i did my install in my driveway. the install defeated the factory security. it only unlocks and locks by remote. if i lock the doors using the master switch on the door panel, the factory security light comes on and the cars starter disable is activated [hence no remote start]. i guess i cant have it both ways....or can i???

we wired the trunk release and had 3 more channels remaing. i couldnt get the windows wired anyone know the colors and location?? i would love to have that and/or sunroof. instead i have one channel for my fuel door release lol.

also...where is the factory security system box located??

I got a Clifford Matrix 3.5 system with two way pager. It's hot!! Price with installation @ the authorized clifford dealer was 550 with lifetime warranty. My remote was not responding as well so the guy exchanged me a new remote...free of charge!!! It's one of the best security systems in the market.

so does anyone recommend going to circuit city, selecting a remote start system, and having them install?

or aftermarket shops, should I trust them with my Lex?

I DO NOT want security light issues, electrical issues, unlocking issues, just crap that occurs when you go non-lexus

my key doesn't open my doors remotely anymore, i used to be able to do the windows, etc, so annoying at this point, and a remote start would be cool and nice

help a neo out!

PS I did a search, can't find any write ups on good remote start systems...
