Default 1999 ES300 Transmission Question

I am having an issue with my transmission, I think. I can be driving a long and all of a sudden with my foot on the gas pedal it appears as though I am accelerating but my car isn't moving. I can continue to press the gas pedal, the rpm's rise but the car doesn't move. Then just as if it didn't happen it starts driving. I have taken it in to 2 different transmission shops and they can't find anything wrong with anything. It has had 2 codes stored which were a sensor and cylinder but the shops have said they are all fine. The shops have been unable to recreate the issues. The Transmission was replaced 2 years ago, any suggestions?

What were the codes specifically? The replacement transmission, was it a rebuild, or from a donor car?

Welcome to the Club.

I'd also like to know the questions posed by Lexus2000 on the maintenance history.

What you describe sounds like a surging action. Sometimes, when ATF level is low it will get what you describe.

I'd also want to about when the last time you did a tranny fluid change, including the transmission filter.
