Spark Plug Tube Seal Replacement
I recently replaced the valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube seals. I discovered a very good way to remove the old tube seals. I used my Miracle Tool, my Dremel with a carbide cutting bit. I carefully ground down a small groove in the side of the old seal. I tried to get as deep as I could without going too deep. I then used the end of the carbide bit to cut a little into the bottom edge of the old seal. I then took a small flat blade screwdriver and wedged it in behind the old seal. The old seal broke in two right at the groove. Then it was very easy to pull the old seal out. I used a little petroleum grease on the new seals, tapped them in with a socket.
