Brake Pad
Hi everyone.
There is only 20% left for my brake pads..
I need to change all of them... but I got a question.
I want something which brakes faster and better..
Does the pads make that much difference?? or all the pads are the same?

Pads and rotors are not all the same - it depends on what the designers want to get out of the brakes.
With a Lexus we are not talking about a sport sedan -- Lexus wants smooth/ quiet/ long lived brakes. If you have OE rotors on the car I would order OE pads from an online seller -- you can get them for $45.00 + ship
Lexus pads are soft and they do little rotor damage -- getting harder pads is going to do little in the way of increasing brake force but they will cut into the rotors and possibly overheat them.
I recently had to put rotors and pads on our oldest ES -- I ordered Brembo rotors from autohaus and pads from irontoad. The Brembo rotors are good quality and will outlive the car with 215k on it. If it were a newer car with less miles on it I would have gone with OE rotors. The OE rotors will last 100k + if properly maintained. We keep our cars -- so I don't like replacing parts in 40k because I saved $20.00.

If you do a brake pad search theres some good information there. I found it helpful when I was looking and researching the same thing. The article I read even broke it down to give you the best type of pad for your driving style.
Edit: I believe that the article was in a post in the Brake Forum or maybe the maintaince, if there isn't a brake forum.
