Default Just sharing my exhaust repair experience.

I bought a 1995 ES300 from a lady who was just letting the car go to waste. I got a hold of an import JDM 1MZVE engine with 60k miles on it. My brother and I installed it and the car runs great. One slight problem though. The flex pipe on it had rotted out completely and not only did the car lack performance, it sounded like a 1984 Ford Pickup Truck. I mean the noise was so loud it was unbearable and simply embarrasing coming from a luxury vehicle. I got on ebay looking for a replacement y pipe, and ordered one for a 1994. Bad Idea ! I got under the car to uninstall the old and realized it wasnt going to work. The 1995 has the catalytic converter attched to it. The one from ebay didnt. luckily I got my money back. Called a local muffler shop and he installed a new flex pipe and even patched up a hole for $130.00 the car is so quiet now it runs much faster and even turns on quicker. Im so glad I invested in this. Here are the pics of the new flex pipe. Good luck to all.
