Default Hi CL^_^

Already put a post up on the forums but I decided since everyone was introducing themselves I thought I'd introduce my Lexus as well

2001 Lexus ES300 - narrowed my choices down to this and a honda and I went for the Lexus^_^ 61k miles which isn't bad methinks. . .

Anyways a few pictures:

Mileage isn't bad for a 2001

Many things planned for this baby

SatNav, lowering springs, LED interior, New Headlights (still trying to figure out how I'm going to approach that one), New Paintjob (I want to go pearl white with Black rims - or Black with Gunmetal Grey Rims. . .)

Anyways, name's Tim and Hi!!!

I can't imagine changing the color of that car, it's perfect the way it is. If you really need it a different color, then you bought the wrong car.

Unless you're prepared to do it properly (pull the engine, strip the interior, etc.) then it will look awful.

omg gorgeous car, and super low mileage!!! congrats man! with that low of mileage, I see no point in repainting the car, its beautiful. the headlights arent even yellowed, so what could you possibly want to do with them LOL. I love those stock rims too, but then again Imma sucker for OEM vs AM. Personally, if you wanted to repaint and totally alter the vehicle, you should have gotten the Honda. :P haha

I love making my vehicle personal to me. I wouldn't say I'm a ricer (unless you give me a mitsubishi or a nissan lol - THEN I'm a ricer), but I do like to change certain things to make the car MINE. . .know what I'm saying?

A few more pictures:

Kept the floor covers on for now. Gonna try to find some good floormats from a dealership.

A little wear on the driver side rest

Back and front seats still in pristine condition. Just gonna keep using the Meguiar's on it to maintain.

oooo I'll definetly have to check that after I get off work today. Hopefully I actually find a filter lol!!!

I'm sooooo glad I bought this car. . .I'm one of those people that read consumer reports and I look at reviews on just about anything. I have not seen one negative report yet regarding this car Not to mention they hold their value quite well compared to other manufacturers.

That's not wear on the door armrest, it's just dirt/grime. A Mr Clean Magic Eraser will take that right off. Be sure to put some protectant on it after cleaning, my preference is 303.

I would of never thought of Mr. Clean lol. . .but thanks for the tip I'll buy one as soon as I can. Any recommendations for leather care? I've been using Meguiar's for as long as I can remember and it's never steered me wrong, but I always like looking for suggestions or constructive criticism

Wait for a nice hot day, then give it the Leatherique treatment with Rejuvenator and Pristine Clean:

http://www.leatherique.com/

I try to do this about once a year. I keep it maintained with the Lexus leather treatment stuff they sell at the dealer. I used to use Lexol, but I don't care for the sticky residue.
