I am looking at replacing my master key with a new one and getting a fob. I believe the FCC ID for a 98 ES300 is HYQ1512P. Does the key use an FCC ID or only the fob? Also any recommendations on where to get the key or fob?

The key has no FCC ID but it has a transponder chip in it, to get a key go to a dealer and have them cut it from your VIN. Programming is easy enough search this site or I'll post if I find it. You have no remote at all? The FOB is part number 89742-33100 about $120 at a dealer or search that FCC ID on Ebay if you want used (or you might find new).

You must have a master key to program a new master key. I'm not sure if you can add a FOB if don't have one already.
