stock projectors leave a cutoff, just not as clean and focused as oem hid projectors

I try that once, i put the HID in the stock housing on my XB and went out at night, it looked bright and nice i could see everything, but the glare was too much and when i pulled up behind somebody it looked as if i had my high beams on, so i turned around came back home and took them off, and thats why i decided to do a projector retrofit.
You can go and use them in your stock headlights which will look something like this, or might not look bad at all to you, but the reality is that stock headlight weren't meant to have HID in them, even if you point down the light all the way, you still will get that gorgeous glare .
You can go like this in your stock headlights.

Or you can go ahead and get your self a set of projectors and do your self a retrofit, and you get this clean pattern look.

Wow! That glare on the cv makes my setup look like oem hid! Lol

I don't have a retrofit, dont care for one as the 'cutoff' is okay for a pnp kit in a halogen housing. It's has the typical two hot spots and the rest aimed downwards.

So if we wanted to take the plunge and go retrofit--2ES in my case--where do we start (for info, links, reliable stores/outlets, etc.)??

I'm already using, 6k's--I'm sure they sent me 8k's..[too blue instead of "hint" of blue]. Noticeably brighter and greater visibility than the Silver Star Ultra's they replaced. But I know there is improvement(s) to be had with ret-fits.

Yeah definitely ruined a perfect set of Lexus Taillights. The beam does look better. Still glare though.

Thats something i will never do again, specially to a lexus......But to each his own.

I remember i had tail light covers on my 280ZX and i was driving east while the sun was setting in the west, a cop was behind me and pulled me over because the sunlight was hitting the light covers and the RED when i was stopping was not 100% visible, so he gave me a choice to take them off or drive away with a ticket.........SIR YES SIR, took them right off

too bad you didnt get the tails smoked a lil lighter, and leave the middle white. that would have been legit.
