ISO help re: 1998 es300
Looking into purchasing this car....
http://rochester.craigslist.org/cto/2333202425.html
just was hoping to get some feedback regarding this model/make/year.
I have him talked down to $2500.
I am concerned mainly with the maintenance cost of the vehicle and the issue with the check engine light now being on.
Can anyone provide some useful insight for me. Does this seem like a decent deal?
I would need to get at least 2 years out of this car at that price for me to be happy.
Thoughts?
Cheers and Thanks for helping a Noob!~

well lets put it this way....it is between this ride and a 91 Mitsubishi 3000GT. My uncle rebuilt it. New motor (rebuilt), new tranny, new dual exhaust and 4 new tires. about the same cost as the Lexus....

The stereo is easy to replace and really not worth mentioning(I would go double din).... the CEL should be your main concern. I would want that to be fixed before completion of payment. Otherwise these are great cars.
